The Kansa Comb is a traditional Ayurvedic scalp care tool featuring Kansa (sacred bronze alloy) teeth set in a natural wooden base. In Ayurvedic Dinacharya (daily self-care practice), combing the hair and scalp is considered an important ritual for stimulating scalp circulation, nourishing the hair roots, and calming the nervous system — particularly beneficial for Vata-type constitutions.
Benefits of Kansa
Kansa (a blend of copper and tin) is traditionally described in Ayurveda as a balancing metal with a grounding, calming quality. The gentle contact of Kansa teeth with the scalp is used in Ayurvedic practice to support Marma (vital energy point) stimulation across the scalp, supporting circulation and a sense of calm clarity.
How to Use
Use on dry or lightly oiled hair. Starting from the front hairline, comb slowly back toward the crown, then down to the nape of the neck. For a scalp oil ritual, apply a small amount of warm Ayurvedic hair oil to the scalp first and comb through gently. Use morning and evening as part of a Dinacharya routine. Wipe clean with a soft cloth after use.
For external use only. Not a medical device.
