The Nadi Swedana Massage Tool is a specialised Ayurvedic therapy instrument used for Nadi Swedana — localised steam fomentation applied through a narrow tube or pipe to a specific area of the body. Nadi Swedana is a classical Panchakarma pre-treatment procedure described in the Ashtanga Hridayam, used to prepare the body for deeper therapies by softening the tissues, loosening Ama (toxin deposits), and facilitating Vata and Kapha release in targeted areas such as joints, the lower back, and stiff musculoskeletal regions.
How It Is Used
The tool is connected to a steam source and directed precisely to the affected area. The localised steam penetrates deeply, warming the tissues and supporting the release of stagnation and tightness. Used by Ayurvedic therapists as part of Panchakarma preparatory procedures (Purvakarma).
This tool is intended for use by trained Ayurvedic practitioners and therapists. Not for home use without proper training. Follow all applicable safety guidelines for steam therapy equipment.
