An Ayurvedic massage tool with smooth kansa-tipped nodes for Śiro Abhyanga (scalp massage) and targeted marma stimulation on the body. The cooling quality of kansa helps calm pitta, while rhythmic strokes support micro-circulation, lymphatic flow, and relaxation of the nervous system—grounding aggravated vata in muscles and fascia.
How to use
-
Scalp: Apply a few drops of an Art of Vedas hair oil. Work in light circular motions from crown → occiput, then temples, behind ears, and nape. 2–5 minutes.
-
Body: On oiled skin (sesame/coconut), use gentle press-and-glide strokes over shoulders, back, thighs, and calves; avoid bony prominences. Move generally toward lymph nodes/heart. 5–10 minutes or as advised by your Ayurvedic practitioner.
Care
Wipe clean after use; wash occasionally with mild soap and dry thoroughly. Do not soak the wooden handle. Natural patina on kansa is normal.
Notes
External use only. Avoid use on broken/irritated skin, varicose veins, acute inflammation, or active scalp conditions. Use light pressure and discontinue if discomfort occurs.
